Ahead of the ceremony, Sarma reviewed preparations at the venue and said the new government would begin work immediately after taking office.
In a post on X, Sarma announced that Rameswar Teli, Atul Bora, Charan Boro and Ajanta Neog will take oath as ministers alongside him. He also named senior BJP MLA Ranjit Das as the NDA’s candidate for Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly.
“Together, we will continue to work with full dedication for a stronger, more developed and prosperous Assam,” Sarma said.
